Paralegal Qualifications | Level 4 - Diploma in Paralegal Studies
WHO SHOULD ENROL?
This course is developed for those who've previously studied Law. Including NALP Level 3, ILSPAs Legal Secretary Diploma and A Level Law. It is also relevant for mature students or career changers who have a minimum Level 3 qualification or a degree in another discipline.
WHAT YOU'LL STUDY
Caroline Spencer-Boulton is a Licenced Paralegal who specialises in Criminal Defence. Caroline now runs her own paralegal firm, has gained her police station accreditation and has gained licensed access to the Bar enabling her to instruct barristers directly.
HOW THIS COURSE IS STUDIED
Our Level 4 is a distance learning course, allowing you to work from home in your own time. Great for fitting around full time work or studies.
All course material is provided on enrolment. Our approach to learning includes case studies and scenerios, allowing you to apply your knowledge and preparing your practical skills to work as a paralegal.
HOW WILL IT TAKE ME TO COMPLETE?
You will have a maximum of two years to complete the course from date of enrolment, most students graduate within 12-14 months.
Distance Learning: 10 Written Assignments
Class Attendance at a NALP Centre: 10 Written Assignments.
On gaining this qualification you will be eligible to apply for Associate Membership of NALP (A.NALP).
This will distinguish you as being a qualified paralegal.
Students who take single subjects of either module are only entitled to Affiliate membership.
It takes commitment and determination to get through, but it's worth it in the end. I studied as a distance learner because of my location. I would recommend the course to others, mainly because you don't have to be seated in a classroom to obtain this qualification: most people here [Cayman Islands] do not really have the time to attend classes, and most companies prefer to support a student in the area they work in.
